Deep Tissue Massage
in Rotherham

Stiff neck, locked shoulders, a lower back that complains every morning. I'm Harry, a Level 4 qualified massage therapist in Treeton, Rotherham, and this is the tension I deal with all day. Deep tissue massage that finds the cause, not just the symptom. Sessions from £30.

Built for Tension That
Won't Stretch Out

Most of our deep tissue clients in Rotherham aren't athletes. They're office workers whose shoulders have crept up to their ears, drivers and tradespeople with lower backs that have had enough, and people who've tried foam rollers, massage guns, and YouTube stretches without lasting results.

Deep tissue work targets the deeper muscle layers and the fascia around them. We use slow, specific pressure, myofascial release, and trigger point work to release the areas that are actually causing the problem. Often that's not where the pain shows up.

The Session

What an Appointment Looks Like

01

Assessment First

Posture, movement, work habits, and where the tension is actually sitting. A desk worker's neck and a courier's lower back need completely different sessions.

02

Slow, Deep, Specific Work

Deep tissue isn't about brute force. It's sustained, accurate pressure on the right structures, held long enough for the muscle to release.

03

Heated Table, Private Room

Warm muscle releases faster. You're on a heated memory foam table in a private, blue-lit studio, not a curtained bay.

04

A Plan, Not Just a Session

You leave knowing what we found, what changed, and what to adjust day to day so the tension doesn't rebuild at the same rate.

Sessions run 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes, from £30 to £65.

Really impressed with how I have been feeling since he worked on my neck, shoulders and back. He has really enabled me to live better and I have gone from being in constant pain to virtually pain free!

Common Questions

Deep Tissue Massage: FAQ

Honest answers to what people ask before their first deep tissue session. Still unsure? Book the 60-minute and let the assessment decide.

They overlap, but the intent differs. Sports massage is built around training, performance, and recovery. Deep tissue is about releasing chronic tension that has built up over months or years, often from desk work, driving, or manual jobs. At our studio every session uses deep tissue techniques as standard, so you get the right treatment either way.
It can be uncomfortable over tense areas, and that discomfort is usually the muscle releasing. It should never be pain for pain’s sake. We work within your tolerance and check in throughout. Expect some soreness for 24 to 48 hours afterwards, similar to a workout.
Tension that took years to build rarely releases in one visit. Most clients with chronic neck, shoulder, or lower back tension feel a clear difference after one session, and get lasting change over three to four sessions spaced two to four weeks apart. We’ll give you an honest read after your first assessment.
Desk tension is probably the most common thing we treat in Rotherham. Eight hours at a screen loads your neck, traps, forearms, and lower back in ways stretching alone won’t undo. We target those exact muscle groups, then tell you what to change at your desk so it doesn’t all come straight back.
Keep it light for 12 to 24 hours. Walking is fine, heavy lifting the same evening is not. Your muscles need a short window to respond to the work before you load them again.
No. There are no candles-and-whale-music packages here. Every session is clinical, assessment-led deep tissue work aimed at an outcome. If you want to feel looser, move better, and stop waking up stiff, this is the right place.
